Cawaii Catalog March 2013

I've always been curious with Cawaii, a Japanese brand for mori girl pieces, so I thought I'd share some views regarding their new catalog as of March 2013. ♥_♥ Since there's a lot of products, I'll just choose two of my faves. ⁀ᗢ⁀

First the tops:

This top is so light and breezy. I love the beautiful shade of blue-grey? cerulean? lol, idk what color this is (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ彡┻━┻

What brings it out is the ruffled neckline, adorned with the satin ribbon <3 so pretty

The back part features a lace filled with roses. I think this part is offputting for me though, since the design is a little too mature for my taste. but it brings the whole piece together.

This one, I like.  Nothing like a good asymmetrical hemline to bring out the layering factor! XD what caught my attention is the background.. it looks like my room lol

The bottom hem is a chiffon while the lining is silk.. I love pieces that appears as if it's several pieces brought together, but is actually just one. very deceitful!

Back looks so elegant!!

Dresses
A lovely grey peasant dress. I love the color combo of this one
it looks wonderful for layering.

My peg! I really love this piece!

The sleeves are lace and the bodice is a lovely peach chiffon :D

So cute! I guess it would look complete with a lovely collared dress beneath

Bottoms:

A skort! lol, I used to find them weird but since I've been gaining weight, I;ve been looking at their direction. Hides all the fats XD

\
Grandma's skirt! lol the lace part gives this piece a lovely oomph!

This one also has some lining inside so it's not so airy inside XD

Last for the bottoms is this petticoat. Adds body and mori factor to your layering. Turn any dress into a mori outfit with this!

Accessories:
A lovely medalion in bronze. The middle stones are marbled

OMG something I need for school!! A HUGE BAG
No zippers on this one. I can put my Barbie and Copper inside this bag and there would be room for Tyson. I'd probably just use this for school since it's very accessible. Definitely not for travelling from the metro to the province

Obviously I'm very fond of laces. A cute headband to finish the look.

SO CUTE!! Nothing like some red shoes to bring out the  happiness from your outfit!

A string of berries upon your neck. I usually shy off from small rounded beads like these since it reminds me of a rosary (thou shall not wear a rosary upon your neck. It's always on the pocket!).This one is very cute though! like a string of berries! Well, no need for me to go to Japan, I have a local supplier that has this necklace.   (・ω・)ノ

Well that's all for now. Since April is coming out, I'll feature new catalogs from Cawaii. Here's a last pic of a lovely dress from their collection.

XOXO with Love,
Tiffany

Work+Mori Girl Business

I've been busy with work for Justine of  Dorotee Sweetlips.  ^^, After so long, I'm once again employed and earning for other people. I've been keeping things a secret from some friends that I'm her intern, and here I am publicizing it. lol hypocrite. I know I have a few random readers, anyway. But, working for her is fun <3 like going over to a friend's house to have fun and help out, only you get paid for it. I also feel lucky she chose me out of so many people who tried to apply. I thought I was the only one who applied since I got in, despite me telling her I'm not very skillful. o.O Apparently I was the chosen one.
Justine and Kisses

I'm wishing for her success in the future :) I think she's already an icon here in the Philippines, but yeah still hoping she gets more clients.
What I enjoyed most is that every time I'm working at her place, I'm accompanied by her snobbish dog Kisses. Good thing I'm a dog lover too, otherwise I'll probably get a heart attack every time I come over. She's a big dog who has a loud intimidating bark.

Other than that, I've been busy with business and new stocks.

I often see catalogs of mori pieces being hung like this dress from Cawaii
a dress from Cawaii looking oh so perfect
I tried the same thing but I think it's really FAIL

DRESS Y U NO POSE???
Perhaps I have no talent in hanging things. It kept on moving and stuff. This dress really dislike me.

I've often wondered about other thrift stores in the net. Do they simply pack these clothes and send it? Or do they wash and iron their products like I do? When I found this dress among our pile of clothes, I couldn't send it right off because it really looked disgusting, like a nightmare laundry from a tide commercial. I suppose years of being ignored will do that to you. I had to bleach and whiten this dress before I put it out for everyone to see.

It's hard work taking pics and editing these shots so they all go together. Lighting also varies as seen in the pic. Some are warm and some are cold, I didn't want to mess it up.

Barbie decided to join us in out photo op

Lol she looks so cute. One of these days I'll make her a garland for her leash.

My sister asked for a pic of her with our babies. lol Barbie's jealous of Tyson. Seriously Barbie, we spoil you enough.

Thrifting Time

The past few days, I've been fixing up some of the stuff my sister and I plan to sell.  I wanted to start asap with my store.Since clothes should be shown when worn, I had my younger sister model for me, bribed her with my cooking. and lol she agreed! Since the garden had ants infestation, no choice but to use the house. It was pretty hard to look for a decent spot there since everything else is a mess. :\ But it did went through though! and the moment I posted up the clothes, a lot of people bought it!

these kinds of messages keeps on flooding. and it's really uplifting!

I was really surprise that a lot of people really loved the clothes!

My Fave dress.. now reserved, huhu goodbye
It was really hard for me to part with the clothes that I really really loved </3 But like what my sister said, I can buy new clothes for myself that would compliment me rather than stick to the clothes that I had when I was a bit slimmer.

One of the prettier clothes I had before, but it doesn't fit me anymore. I had to restore it

. I don't think they're gaudy, since you can wear them everyday on any occasion.

random insert of my products

Before I posted the pics, I had to take care of the products first. Some of these closet raids had forgotten stains, and the laces looked really ugly. And worst, they started smelling like thrift store finds and mothballs (My sister loves putting those ughhh)  O,O I really dislike that smell since it's hard to get rid off, even with several washes! I'm just glad that the clothes are still elastic and non friable, or else, oh no!. After taking some old granny advice on cleaning clothes, I was able to get rid of the smell, and the stains (where they're from idk, they just.. appeared!) Now they're back to being lovely ^^
Fresh from the laundry... I had a hard time cleaning this one but it was so worth it.
Some of the stuff I sell are my sister's. I guess she grew out of  it, but I'm thankful she fell in love with them too ^^ Mori clothes are very difficult to spot, and most of the time, the ones you can buy at the stores are very expensive.

Hopefully, I can get my hands on other mori clothes soon ^^ Wish me luck on business

Setting up my mori store

I promised myself that I will be setting up my Mori Girl store in facebook

But apparently nothing much happened today. My sister asked me to help her sort some of our clothes at my grandparents house, and it ended up taking the whole afternoon. I never knew we had so many clothes!

Since  this store plans to resell vintage and thrifted clothes, I started picking up a few things from my wardrobe. As it turned out, most of my favourites will be sacrificed though, so it was really painful to part from them. My sister tried to gave me some clothes that has lace in them, and I would end up arguing, no not mori enough.

I suppose it's frustrating since I love the fashion and she doesn't. I happen to like laces and those vintagey feel

I'm sure you see them here and there. It's  a delicate style that would look good on every woman of any age. My sister thought it was mainly laces and white, so I told her, nope, it doesn't have to be those colors. However it plays on the pastel shades and earthy tones.

She seems to think it's gaudy, but I prefer it over other fashion styles. After all these pieces are stylish and cute and you can get them from your grand mother's closet. Unfortunately, my grandmother doesn't have cutesy clothes like these ><

I hope I can open my store soon! :D For now, I need to set up the store so and add more stocks so it wouldn't look all too bare ><

Review: Bubble Color by Richenna

Last Christmas, I had dyed my hair black, and now that school is done, I want a lighter brown shade for my hair. I went to Watsons along the way home and bought this hair dye called Bubble Hair color. I've used it before, and it did really well on my dyed hair, so I am expecting a lot from it.

Before purchasing, I asked the salesman asked me if my hair was still a virgin. No, Mr. Salesman, my hair is a whore and it's just pretending to be a virgin. He did warn me that the result would be darker for virgin hair. Virgin hair doesn't take on colors too well as it seems.

Well my hair is a slut, like I said, it had held many dyes before. However this would be the first time for me to dye it from black to something else.

The Product: Bubble Color by Richenna

Korean Brand: Bubble Color

I went for their lightest shade which is Golden Blonde. I'm not really aiming to go blonde, just brown. If I want it blonde, I would have just bleached my hair lol

It's easy to spot in Watsons cause of the Manga-ish girl as their spokesperson
Look into my sparkly eyes *,*
All Korean stuff which I do not understand.
It speaketh the English!!

The box is a complete set, containing the hair color, developer, mixing bottle, conditioner, and application kit, I really love bubble hair dyes cause they seem so considerate ^^ You can dye your hair yourself with this.

The colorant and the developer is 50ml. and it has markings for 25ml. Since my hair is short at the moment, I only need 25 ml and save the other 25 for future use :)

So time to begin! Before that here's a swatch of my hair taken under daylight

I'm kinda aiming for the darkest brown shade at the upper right corner

It comes with an instruction ( in english) so there's no need to be scared.

After I mixed the right amount, it kinda looked like this:

A tea colored stuff. After mixing

It turned to a coffee colored stuff o,O the bottle feels a little warm so something's going on there....

The bubbles are really wonderful! I plan to recycle the bottle even though it says not to. hihi

After doing the process, here's the result

WHAT IN THE NAME OF FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU??????

I did everything, I wonder what went wrong? :'(  boohoo and I can't dye my hair for at least a week! I want new hair color NOW!! :(

okay, maybe my hair is still a little wet, and the picture was taken around twilight hour, so the light is a little dim. I'll wait for tomorrow for the real results. =_= Otherwise, I'm really upset

Verdict:
This isn't my first time to use this brand, however this is the first time I used it with black hair. If you've dyed your hair to brown, it really does pick up the color. However, this one just didn't :( I don't think it's the brand, but my hair color

My old rate for this was 5/5 since it's really good and it achieves the color that it says it would, but for BLACK hair, Bubble Color would score 1/5

so sad :(

Will I buy it again? YES! Like I said I had tried it before, and it is really excellent on me, but for now, I feel like I have been cheated out of my 350 php :(

I guess what this review prove is that Black hair would really not take up any color at all. I'll go buy some bleach one of these days.. hopefully it turns orange huhuhu so upset.

2013 Plans

Finals week today, and my mind is fluttering out of my books and hand outs >< Need to study =_=

Anyway, I guess I should just write down my thoughts instead of forcing myself to study. Hopefully, it works like a pensieve lol

 <img src="http://www.monosapiens.com.br/blog/wp-content/uploads/dumbledore_pensieve.jpg">

Blog Plans:Yea yea, I suck at writing. But maybe cause I wasn't being myself. After I read through my previous posts this summer, it made me realize, my writing skills suck. >< When I was younger, I was always praised by my English teachers (emphasis on the S) as having excellent writing skills, but it deteriorated when I got older. Now I  understood why. I used to write what my thoughts tell me ad libitum, unlike now when I think things through. The result is that words seems short, curt and overly used, and my sentences seems so simple like an elementary school kid could just write it down =_= So now I write with words flowing out like endless rain upon a papercup just like the Beatles song, never mind if it seems weird or stupid or maybe there's a flaw in grammar here and there, but hey, I think it's more interesting that way :)

Hope my posts don't get boring

I also plan to change my whole blog content. I would be focusing on Mori Kei/Natural Kei from now on, instead of business. Of course, I also want to write a few reviews.

I hope my readers shoot up hahaha

Store Plans:
Fairy Kiss have been blocked by fb >:P it sucks cause we already had a lot of customers :( boo hoo now I'm stuck with 200 likers. Well baby steps, one day we'll be well known

Meanwhile my prototype baby store,  Berry Drop, will be expanding! My sister gave me a go signal to have an expansion. Fairy Kiss is like my Princess brand while Berry Drop is the neglected child. Berry Drop seems to be doing well though! I earned a lot from Berry Drop so now I want to turn my attention to my neglected child and turn it into my own brand! :D

I plan to turn Berry Drop into a Mori-kei Botique which caters Up-thrifted Clothes and Mori Kei Accessories. What's Mori Kei? Well, I'll put it up one of these days hahaha

Now that those things are done, off I go. Study study study

Review: Lioele Pop Cherry Tint

I feel so lazy lately, after  prelims came by.. >< And now for a review!

The Lioele Pop Cherry Tint

bought at Fairykiss (http://www.facebook.com/fairykiss.tale.online)

Before this, I was never a fan of tints. For some reason, even the most pigmented tints just doesn't work on me. They seem to blend out on my skin and look pretty invisbile. Before I bought my Lioele POP cherry Tint I couldn't be bothered by tints!

well, that all changed cause of this product ❤ Yay!

Tints are these colored ink-like stuff that women use to give color to their cheeks and lips, something like a rouge. It's a blusher and a lipstick all in one. To use them you put a drop on the center of your lower lip and smooth them out evenly, or put it three dots on your cheek and spread them out on your cheekbone for a nice blush.

The Lioele Pop Cherry Tint comes in a cute cylindrical bottle with a nail polish brush. It really do look like a semi transparent tinted nail polish in my opinion.

The stuff smells like roses!
I guess that isn't much of a surprise since the product claims to be made of rose water. Just opening the bottle and you'd get a whiff of roses, so if you're not fond of that scent, I guess it's best to give you that warning.

The product isn't as pigmented as I wanted it to be. But the product is buildable so I believe it is a good start for the newbies. As for the swatch, here's a photo of my lippies. No I don't smoke.

left (my right): with the tint

This isn't how I would normally wear it. I usually just put a dot spread it a bit, and smack my lips together. It looks so natural too!

As for staying power, living in a polluted and humid area, this doesn't stay on too much. I also spend most of my day in an airconditioned classroom. What I like though, even though it doesn't stay that long, some stuff remains leaving my lips with a nice pinkish look. It's not as red as it would be in the morning but I like how it looks in the afternoon. If I'm in my parent's house (where it's cleaner) the product usually stays much longer. If it's on my cheek however, it lasts the whole day given I don't run around too much

Pros:
  • nice tint color
  • stays long on the cheeks
  • buildable
  • smells like roses
  • application brush
  • handy
  • looks natural
Cons
  • Doesn't stay on too long
  • Strong rose scent (may not be to your liking)
  • color isn't very strong
  • gets washed away easily

Verdict:
Since this is my first tint, and it converted me from a hater to a lover, I guess you could say that I REALLY LOVE IT!!!! I have tried a lot of local tints and some really good ones for that matter but I never liked any of them. Lioele cheek tint look very natural compared with tony moly (yep I tried their cherry tint too, thanks to Lioele), but I find that too pigmented and drag queenish. But if you're looking for a subtle tint that you could play with, Lioele is your brand! It looks natural and pretty if you're using this for a gradient look. though it isn't prefect I still prefer this over my Tony Tint
