People criticizing people is so annoying. So let's criticize these criticzing people: Dong-Yan wedding

more like a rant. or as the "intelligent people" say, criticizing.

I've been starting to get annoyed with these self-proclaimed "intelligent" people lately. The grammar nazis, and the "open-minded" people who criticize other people. Most of these people are not being open-minded.. nor do they have a liberated mind. All I see are just people who have nothing better to do than to rant, to tactlessly criticize people, and just do something totally irrelevant.

like these grammar nazi. Do you know, grammar is important however it is just a part of something called communication? As long as you get your point across, you have nothing more to bother. Everyone makes mistakes especially in grammar. If the grammar is so bad that you cannot understand it, then go ahead and correct it. but if their point gets across then don't bother. I'm willing to bet they can't even use the semi colon (;) aside for using it as a smiley face

now to the "intelligent" people of the Philippines

Last January 30 2014, two local celebrities got married: Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, aka the Royal Couple. It's all over the news, and everyone is so happy with it. Now I'm not one of their fans. I disliked Marian and Dingdong during their earlier careers as they don't really know how to act. It's their job, why won't they make it better? Like my dog could act way better. But lately as they progress, they no longer became just pretty faces, they became wonderful actors, excelling in their career. Good Job! Well, I'm not a fan, but I'm not a hater of them. and seeing them get married in the news, well then congrats and have a good life, hopefully forever.

Like the editor of this paper. Seriously, just pick one topic to become your headline. I learnt that in highschool, how about you? Or are you implying something?
Then on the 31st I start reading all over my feeds the critics of the self proclaimed intelligent ones.

Now if you have an opinion, then alright we can respect that. But if your opinion is really unintelligent, then I start to get annoyed. It makes me want to answer.

Some say that Marian's gown is just too lavish when the average Filipino is starving. or like as the headline above says, died during that day. Well, what can Marian do?

Marian's 2M php gown. described as "The Solstiss lace is embroidered with French paillettes, sequins and Swarovski pearls...encrusted with hundred thousands of white and transparent Swarovski crystals." which I'm guessing, would really amount to that.
The dress was made by a Michael Cinco, an abroad based designer from Saudi Arabia (I think)  I'm not really sure. However, before you call it Lavish, have you guys heard of Michael Cinco before? Me neither. Bottom line, he's a nobody right? Could it be, to broadcast himself he poured out his heart and soul into making that work of art and gave it to her for free? Cause not only will he be the talk of the town, he'll also be known as the guy who designed a dream gown. it's a good investment

you can hear her parents say "lol thanks got this gown for our kid for free"
Unlike the western countries, it's mainly the groom's family who shoulders the wedding, but the bride's family may also contribute to the wedding.

"The designer says this gown costs a house! MUST.LOOK.HAPPY"
So before you call her an idiot cause of her expensive gown, haven't you taught that maybe she's manipulating you? as the Chinese proverb goes, Crouching tiger hidden dragon. Brought to you by the Primetime Queen.

Also, Marian has been known as an advocate of charities

Although she must have done it to look good, or perhaps because she's really affected with the unfortunate, in the end, Marian has helped others along with her husband. Do they need to spend everything they own to the unfortunate? Only 25% of the homeless are truly pitiable, the rest are just lazy. The victims of calamities are truly pitiable and a true unfortunate, but the royal couple has already given a part of their earnings to these people, even showed up in these sad areas just so they can uplift the morale of the people. Must the two offer their own blood? Or risk their happiness, and call off the wedding cause there's a calamity? Umm,will you call off your wedding after planning for it for a year or more and spending a lot of your hard earned money just because your neighbor from two blocks whom you don't even know passed away? yeah, condolence to their family but not at the expense of your own happiness

I'm actually suspecting that not only the gown is sponsored, but 75-80% of the wedding is sponsored. After all, everyone who is anyone is invited. the media will buzz about it. Good exposure, Sponsoring the Dong-Yan wedding would most likely be cheaper than hiring either DingDong or Marian.

to anyone who thinks they disrespect the National hero's day, well, I think their date is very clever, as well as a great salutation to Jose Rizal. Dingdong's real name is Jose, and Rivera is the surname of the hero's first love and greatest heartache. See the subtle hints? Not to mention, Filipino-Spanish themed wedding? I don't think it's just cause of their bloodline. Doesn't it scream, "RIZAL ERA INSPIRED MOTIF"

Then I saw this http://getrealphilippines.com/blog/2015/01/showbiz-kilig-is-not-intelligent/

really? and they dared quote Roosevelt

Really? The article talks about the minds of small minded people buzzing up cause of the event.

this wedding is quite an event, honestly and the average minds will high likely talk about it. Now these self proclaimed intelligents call these average minded people as fantards? what intelligence are you speaking of when you're talking about people? where is it? then you'll ask for ideas? well screw you dude, make up your own ideas instead of encouraging others. we have celebrities to do the encouraging.

Can't you just be happy for the two? we know that these two could cry on cue, but it's their wedding, cut them some slack and instead of telling others that they would probably split after a few months/ years, why not just bless them and move on like most intelligent people would do? Besides, who are you decide their fate, just cause they're in the showbiz? a lot of showbiz personalities have wed and stayed together forever. Lucy and Richard for example.

Instead this article complains and rants about the average filipino, calling them fantards for hyping the wedding of a local celebrity instead of contributing ideas like the great minds of roosevelt. What is the relevance of that? now I'm dumb and stupid with a lot of words. what does gandhi have to do with Dong Yan? He'd probably just bless them.

The pope would probably just bless them too and help out the victims and not give a shit about other people with their words. . Don't tell me he has a small mind as well if he tweeted about Dong-Yan.
If you're entitled to your opinion, let me just say this frankly. those opinions are not opinions per se. they're just rants. masquerading as an opinion. nothing but
dirty dirty rants

So here's an idea for the self proclaimed intellects, philiosphers, liberals, and open minded. Before you criticize and bring down other people, kindly look at the mirror first. the first to point is usually the guilty.

Nature's Gate Chamomile Conditioner review plus "Sulfate free" thingie

Product

So I got this conditioner from Healthy Options. It's called Nature's Gate Conditioner in Chamomile. I read the description and it says that this one in particular is replenishing and is perfect for colored hair

As I have bleached my hair, I need the extra replenishing and extra protein or whatever fancy thing my hair needs.

Me with my pretty bleached hair
I really love my hair, and I can boast, that unlike most people with bleached hair, my hair has never been prettier or healthier.... unless I don't take a bath. The secret to my happy bouncy soft and seemingly healthy hair is a good conditioner and hair treatment. I took care of it a lot when I had it bleached, and it is healthier (seemingly) compared with others. .

When I last went to the grocery, I accidentally bought shampoo instead of my usual conditioner. so without any conditioner, I was in a panic to buy one as soon as possible. You cannot comb a bleached hair without conditioner. No matter how healthy looking it is, combing it without using a conditioner is very scary.

So I used this chance to buy a sulfate free conditioner and so I got the Nature's Gate. My sister has been raving about Sulfate free shampoos and conditioner, but I really have no idea why it needs to be sulfate free. they say it's healthier.

for the review. This is what the product says

Nature’s Gate Chamomile Conditioner effectively conditions and replenishes weakened color-treated hair to support the vibrancy of color and highlights while improving texture. Hair is fortified by the nutrient-rich oils and proteins from our blend of 7 Healthy Hair Nutrients while soothing and toning botanicals including Chamomile, Horsetail and Rosemary leave hair shiny, soft and full of life.

Exclusive healthy hair blend includes Panthenol, Soy Proteins, Vegetable Proteins, Jojoba Oil, Borage Flower Seed Oil, Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

- Chamomile, known for its calming and restorative properties, reveals highlights
- Vegetable Proteins condition and moisturize, helping to diminish the
appearance of split ends
- Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Soy Proteins fortify hair and bring out its
natural luster
- Horsetail, rich in silica and other repairing minerals, helps fortify hair

Since I got it from healthy options, it means that this brand is an organic one, and less on the chemicals.

Nature's gate has a lovely scent, perhaps it's the chamomile (Chamomile is pretty hard to grow in the Philippines so I have no idea what it smells like) but the scent is quite addicting. I love it. But when applied, and washed off, the scent goes away as well. Some people dislike having these scents lingering in their bodies, and I understand these people since strong fragrances triggers allergies. I can't wear perfume around my boyfriend for this reason, that's why I wanted that sweet scent to linger on my hair since it's the only scent he can tolerate. Unlike most people, I prefer smelling lovely.
When I used the conditioner, I was expecting it to behave like a regular conditioner. but apparently it didn't. Usually when I use a conditioner, even when wet, you can feel your hair getting softer already. Nature's gate didn't give me that feeling. It felt like I just shampooed.

It was really hard to wash off. After drying my hair, it felt really gunky like I have candle wax on my hair. It's an awful feeling. and when I combed my dried hair, it BROKE.

I had so many hairfall and breakage. I decided to give my hair another run in the water to take off whatever substance it has left on my hair since I'm suspecting the conditioner, and after drying my hair, I wasn't satisfied. It left my hair soft, but nothing compared to when using some other cheap conditioner. It didn't feel stronger, nor did it feel softer than what I'm used to.

I did my research and apparently sulfates are what makes shampoos lather, if you have skin problems then go for a sulfate free product. and if you dyed your hair, you need sulfate free products more to retain the color, or replenish your hair. Doesn't that mean I need sulfate free products more cause i have bleached hair? Right? RIGHT??

Well I don't have skin problems, but my hair needs extra care. Well after using this well raved about NO SULFATE thing, all I can conclude is that it's like the Gluten free diet. BULLSHIT unless you have health problems.
Dude, normal people needs gluten. It's a very nutritious thing. People with Celiac disease can't have them though cause they can't break it down and it will kill them or give them stomach problems. Sulfate is a chemical that allows things to lather. There's not much of a difference according to some people. But apparently Sulfate gives you that clean feeling.

I tried it cause my hair needs a break from all the chemicals, but apparently my hair needs the sulfate. It becomes softer and feels cleaner.

So let's see, did it deliver it's promise?

- Chamomile, known for its calming and restorative properties, reveals highlights
>>>my hair is at its brightest. It didn't feel restored unless I check with a microscope. Smells calming
- Vegetable Proteins condition and moisturize, helping to diminish the
appearance of split ends>>> IT BROKE MY HAIR SHAFT

- Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Soy Proteins fortify hair and bring out its
natural luster
>>> didn't do a thing. B5 is plenty in nature btw. it's everywhere.

- Horsetail, rich in silica and other repairing minerals, helps fortify hair
>>>> IT BROKE MY HAIR SHAFT! does fortified hair means brittle?

very unsatisfied with this Sulfate free fad. In conclusion I will only use a sulfate free product if I develop Psoriasis.

Or maybe, Nature's Gate isn't the product for me.

Or maybe, I should've gotten the aloe vera for hydrating.

I don't know. All I know is I am very unhappy with this product

Will I buy it again? No.

Do I recommend you buy it? No, unless you have Eczema in the head, atopic skin, asthma or Psoriasis.

Cosplay mania 2014 adventures

Finally, I have decided to enter my shop to a bazaar. Having a Mori Lifestyle inspired shop, I do not think I am allowed to enter just any bazaar. I have to find the right crowd or else, I will be wasting my money

happened on October 4-5 2014

and right, I featured several shops to help me get back my capital. Dorotee Sweetlips owner/ business friend and adviser encouraged me to have consignors to help me bring back the capital. Honestly, if it wasn't for her, I would not know what to do.

We were given three ID's for each booth. each booth was around 2x2  sq,m. according to the contract.  when I pulled out my tarp, it seemed the booth we were given was actually much smaller. :/ perhaps around 1.8m? next time I will be bringing a meter to measure the place. It's quite annoying when we're promised this amount of space when you get something smaller.

Gotta love those LED lights tee hee!

Our dear Mannequin did her job as well,. everything we put on her got sold quickly except for the second day. she must have gotten tired.

I shall name her Mannie

I realized that one should always think outside the box. Some of our fellow exhibitors used up the aisle, despite what we agreed. I know it's wrong but I wished we thought of it beforehand..

One of our regulars! and her boyfriend! She's wearing Berry Drop all over <3

I realize now that I had so much fun joining this event

Being a novice, I had so much to learn after this event. we forgot a lot of things on the first day, causing aches and body pain everywhere. I also learnt to be creative. and if you can't be creative, find someone who has a sharp mind to help out.

Review: Egg Pore Nose Pack by Tonymoly

While I was at the mall, this little product caught my attention. It's called Egg pore Nose Pack from Tonymoly. The main reason I bought it was cause it was cheap. They sell this in individual sachets, so it's very convenient. No need to buy one whole pack when you need just one.

Tonymoly is one of my favourite skin care line. ^^, It's one of the rare Korean skin care line that doesn't give me a break out.

Most of the writings are in Korean, but don't let that intimidate you since there's an English instruction at the bottom. I wonder what all those words mean, though,

the strip is in an M shape. I'm assuming this shape is for most korean noses which tends to have a really low pointing nose tip. My nose points upward unfotunately, so the fit of this nose strip is a bit awkward. When I tried it on, it smelled like cigarettes. Or an airconditioned room where a smoker has been. Pretty much, I'm not a fan of its scent.

Does it work?

Lol ok disgusting but the strip didn't get much black head from my nose, but I am happy to see the roots.
I think this item works, but it would depend on how you apply it. I moistened my nose, applied the nose strip. It didn't get that much black head and it didn't seem to clear my nose like it promised. Later I found out there was a mistake in my part. Your nose should be dripping wet for it to be more effective. Otherwise, the strip won't be as effective and it will not stick.

Would I buy it again? I suppose, if my nose needs another clearing from the black heads. However, next time I'll try their other nose strip lines. The peel off strip doesn't seem to work well with me.

REVIEW: Kuru Kuru Lint remover by DAISO/SAIZEN

As everyone knows, I sell vintage clothes. It's not required, but to ensure quality, I restore the vintage pieces into something close to brand new. One of the problems I face with these used clothes is the lint. This phenomena is called pilling. it's when the cloth's ther I'm sure everyone has that problem. A particular favourite shirt of yours that you love to wear so much that after a month or two, it now looks as if that piece of article is older than a kindergartener. From something you can wear outside the house, that piece looks like something you'd wear when you're by yourself inside the house with no sunlight.
the sad piece of my only tshirt (I'm a blouse person)

After researching the net, I found out this problem can be solved with a razor, and for a year, I have used this technique to get rid of the pilling. It works well, but it can get tedious. Really tedious. Another sad part about this technique is the danger of cutting the clothes! this has happened to me once or twice and it has given me lots of panic attacks.

If your clothes generally pills, like severely pilling kind of cloth, pretty much you'd rather use the razor and slit your wrists than shaving off the pilling. =_=

After looking around Daiso, I saw this item by accident. I didn't buy it at first since I was hesitant, but after telling my little sister about it, I realized I regret not buying that thing.

random image stolen from ebay

Like all items in Daiso, this was just 88 php. Don't be fooled, you can't find this at Japan Home Center. Look for DAISO SAIZEN. Not Japan home Center Saizen.

See the blades
The product is rather flimsy. It feels mush like a toy, only it's dangerous cause it's like an electric razor.

I tried it out as soon as I got home

spot the difference
And WHOA!! This thing is AMAZING!! truly Japanese people are sent by God for mankind. In the photo above, I used the remover on the right side of the picture. You can see the cloth started looking a little better
you can see the lint at the container,

God bless you Japanese people.

I'm starting to believe Jesus is living in Japan!!!

Japanese people seems to be good at making seemingly nonesense things but actually brings about convenience.

Miracle!!!

What I love about it:
The item is cheap like all Daiso products. It works well and delivers its promise!

What I dislike:
hmmm, I guess it feels flimsy? like you're holding a toy, but I guess that's to be expected since the item is very cheap. If it gets broken, I can easily buy another and I would probably have used this item to its limit before it dies on me.

also, the way it removes the pilling isn't as good as a razor, as you can see at the picture above. But it does save time and feels much safer than just using a regular shaver. It won't give you a brand new looking shirt, but it will make your article like you have worn it just once or twice. Much like an age miracle cream. It won't give you a supple baby skin, but it can slash off several years.

if your shirt just have some spots where it pills a  lot like the under arm area, this item would be good too, but if general like mine, you'd get something like I have above. Also, you can use it at the edges without worries unlike a razor which might rip the fabric.

All in all, I still think it's a God sent miracle to mankind. 9.5 out of 10. I would still use a razor with this, but it will get the hard to remove pilling from your fabric.

Del Fabric Conditioner

I know this is an odd review but I seldom see reviews about fabric conditioners, so I decided to share my own experience with fabric conditioners.

If you've had your clothes stored up for so long, believe it or not, they will start to have that odd musky scent you'll smell at thrift stores. A lot of people hate that scent, and I'm one of those people. It just feels unclean.

You can remedy that by simply airing out your clothes every 2 weeks, but seriously. Aint nobody got time for that!

Looks pretty, smells ugly
Since I sell some of my clothes, I have to get rid of those smell. A good detergent will wash it away of course, but there will be times that the odd scent remains, and just washing with plain detergent is bad for long term storage. Not only that but I need to make sure the fresh laundered scent remains. Laundering them over and over will be bad for the fabric.

I have experimented with different brands, different series, until finally, I found the one scent I want my clients to remember me by.

My "control" (the brand I will compare it to for standards) will be Downy of course, since Downy was the pioneer brand in the Philippines

I happen to like Del. Lavender Breeze to be specific,

with fabric conditioning, I say it does an average job. I would still choose downy over Del for that softness factor, but in my line I am more concerned with the scent. Everyone knows the scent of Downy as well.

Scent: I've tried almost all of their series, the regular, the perfume, the burst of scent or whatever. But the best scent so far is only the Lavender Breeze.

All the rest are bullshit.

The plain blue one disappeared on me the moment I aired it out. The red one on the photo is sickeningly flowery, but the scent doesn't remain once you have hanged your clothes for the sun. I suppose this red one at the photo above depends on the user.

the perfume edition, although, seemingly fine, the scent didn't last either. the softening power and anti wrinkling power is just so so. Ironing clothes is no different with ironing a non conditioned article.

However, I will praise their Lavender Breeze. The scent really sticks to the clothes, even though you've traveled the  clothes or they've got stuck in storage for many months, the scent just remains. The conditioning power is average, however, but it isn't much of a deal for me. I have no idea why but the scent's ability is far better compared with all the rest.

If I were to rate Del, I'd give it a 5 out of 10. Average. You can make do with it if you ran out of fab cons and it is the only thing available.

But if I'm to rate just the Lavender Breeze, then I'd give it 9 out of 10

Lol, sorry followers if you dislike household chores, but living in the countryside and selling clothes has made me into a laundry maniac. I'll review my BB Creams next time.

XOXO

Update about my store

After a year of taking some time off from blogging, I finally decided to update my blog

My store has started to pick up and I believe at the rate of my shipping, my business is getting stronger and stronger. People have been blogging and sending me some of their photos using the clothes they have bought from me. it's really touching. I'm also happy some of my friends and family donated their clothes for me to sell. it's really nice

Initially, my shop was supposed to be a specialty shop selling mori/forest girl clothes. but I guess I can't help but add some of the unwanted clothes that can be sold at a higher price if I sell it online instead of selling it in the yard. Good thing Forest girl style has a lot of subcultures.

Also, I've been selling a lot of our Liz Lisa items in my store, mainly because their cuts are too juvenile for my age. On the bright side, they feature a lot of florals and lace which is a staple in a Mori Girl's wardrobe.

I've also had some photographers take photo shoots of my items for me. It's real nice since having a formal catalog seems more professional.

Of course, I have no intention doing this as a living, but it isn't bad having some extra cash on me. Thanks to my business, I've bought myself a phone, reference books and even got the capital to invest in the stock market.

On the 17th my clothes will be having another photoshoot! So many blessings

I'm hoping to have another year of good business.
